The NMC's Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (PGMER-23) mandate that PG students at private and state-run colleges receive equal stipends of 50,000–70,000 per month. The regulations also require colleges to provide residential accommodation and grant PG students a minimum of 20 days of casual leave per year.
In states approx 45,000 in the first year and 47,500 in the second year is given to PG students.the highest stipend paid in gujarat state which is nearly 80k.
