Mechanical engineers have tremendous opportunities for growth and progress both in India and overseas. Mechanical engineers with advanced degrees can work in a variety of industries, including aircraft, automobiles, chemical manufacturing facilities, oil exploration, railway coach manufacture, and research and development. A mechanical engineer's skill is necessary in robotics, biomedical, nanotechnology, AI, energy conservation, and other fields due to the huge flood of technology.

Manufacturing, design, and thermal are three if the most common sub disciplines of mechanical engineering. In the electric car sector, where the battery management system is crucial, an engineer with a thermal engineering background has a strong chance if succeeding.
