Hey,
NDA (National Defense Academy) exam is conducted by UPSC every year for male Candidates in its 3 wings of defense – Army Wing, Air Wing and Naval Wing. Students need to be appearing or passed out 12th class. While filling the application form, students have to choose any 2 preferences.
For Army Wing candidate just have to appear or passed the 12th class while for Air and Naval Wing they need to passed in mathematics and physics, yet the numbers need to scored is not mentioned anywhere.
But for all the 3 wings – you have to appear in the NDA exam having two rounds. First Round is the written exam after which you have to clear the SSB interview round.
The written exam has 3 sections-
1. Mathematics- Set, Venn diagrams, Matrices, Determinant, Trigonometry, Equations of line, Functions, Limits, etc.
2. 2. GAT Section-1 (English)- Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension, Usage of words.
3. GAT Section-2 (General Knowledge)- topics from physics, chemistry, general science, geography, current events, history, etc.
The SSB interview also comprises 2 stages- Stage-1 (OIR), Stage-2 (PP&DT). Its conducted for four to five days.
