This will depend upon the college and the course you take and the hostel rules of that particular Institute/organisation. Usually all colleges will have a break at the end of semesters and students can go home then. You can get anywhere from 10 to 20 days as holidays. Also you can go home for festivals like Diwali, Holi, etc when you get holidays at a stretch. Make sure to get permission from your college and hostel warden before you leave the hostel for vacation.
