Do we get vacations during mbbs course study?
Hello,
Yes, you will get vacations during mbbs course study.
The duration depends on the college and the university you're studying under.
In most universities, students get a month-long (30 days atleast) holiday after 1st-year external exam, until the result comes out. You need to clear any backlog of your subjects in these holidays before 2nd year starts.
In 2nd and 3rd year, students don't usually get a long holiday, but college will give 1 week holiday after each year.
Then after completing the 4th year, you get a 1 month long holiday again. In this vacation, you can clear all your subjects before becoming an intern.
And the students get a week long holiday for pongal and dussehra and 1-2 days holidays for any major festival or national holiday.
Hello Jameel,
Yes but it's very less and it also depends on college and
the university you are under.
Usually after 1st
year external exam you will be getting a month holiday or till the result comes
out, it is because you cannot carry your backlog subjects to 2nd year, for
getting into the 2nd year you should clear all 3 subjects and
In 2nd and 3rd year
you won't be getting any such long holiday but college might give 1 week holiday
after each year (these 2 years you can carry your back log paper so college does
not wait for results and start the next year mostly after the 1-week gap).
Then again after
completing 4th year you might get a month holiday as you should clear all your
subjects before becoming an intern.
And in between you
might get 1 or 2 days holidays for any major festival or national holiday.
