Hi Aspirant, hope you are doing well. Now with regards to your question I want to mention that its not necessary to obtain any sort of permission from your college authority for partial drop. However your parents opinion matters. However it's totally on your choice in what you are doing. Its not mandatory to obtain permission from college authority. Hope this helps
