Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you yes you need to produce new and updated E.W.S certificate during counselling as your current E.W.S certificate has been expired and it won't work at the time of counselling and at the time of document verification.

Ya, definitely you have to apply for a new EWS certificate if you have to avail the benefits of it because in the form it has been mentioned that we require only the EWS certificate which is active in current not the expired one hence, you have to make sure that you have all the documents with the proper dates and useful as well.
