Dear Ramya, NEET is the mandatory exam for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. Now, NEET is mandatory for studying medicine abroad. Apart from NEET, we also have AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS entrance examinations but the seats are approximately 1400 in AIIMS and 200 in JIPMER. But with NEET, you atleast have almost 1lakh Medical seats. Now NEET is also mandatory to study courses like Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing in few States. This might be made the process in rest of the States with the inception of NMC Bill. So, if you want to become a MBBS doctor, NEET is the only way out.

Hello Ramya.

Yes to become a doctor NEET is not compulsory but it is the best way . If you are facing any issue in qualifying Neet like exams then you can go for j-num , A-num , diploma in pharmacy etc. These are the other ways to be a doctor. But these are not renowned one .

Ok hope it helps.

Good luck
