Does 11 and 12 mathematics is compulsory to get admission in du in ma economics?
hey Barnali,
It depends on which mode you are applying for the admission in du for ma in economics.
Indian Nationals can get admission through two modes Direct/Merit Mode or Entrance test mode. However, for each mode, there is a percentage of marks to be fulfilled.
DU fills 50% of the seats on the basis of BA Economics and 50% marks obtained in 2019 Entrance Exam. For DIRECT MODE They must have secured atleast 60% aggregate in BA Economics(hons).
ENTRANCE TEST MODE- A candidate must have secured atleast 60% or 1st division or equivalent CGPA in any Under Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any subject.
Since, in University of Delhi, candidates holding a bachelors degree in any stream may apply if he/she has scored a minimum of 60% in graduation or 60% in economics (hons) are considered eligible to apply for the courses.
Mathematics in graduation is not mandatory to be considered eligible for MA Economics in most of the universities, whereas in few, it is.
hope this works for you.
....now I decided to take ba.eco hnrs can u tell me without maths I get admission ....?
Hey Barnali!
Hope you're doing well!
There is no such criteria to have mathematics in 11 and 12 to get admission in M.A. economics. The only eligibility criteria you need to satisfy is that you must have passed B.A. hons in economics with a minimum score of 50% at the graduation level.
Hope it helps!
