The candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs , NIT's and IIITs
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks.
For SC/ ST and PwD candidates need the aggregate of minimum 65% marks.
The total marks are combined marks of 11th and 12th.
For CBSE boards the result is combined and both percentage are considered.
While for state board only 12th std percentage are considered.
In few state boards such as kerela board the result is combined like cbse.
Thus it depends on what board are you studying in.
