MAjority of the universities take into account the marks scored in class 12th examinations. however, it is not one of the prominent requirements. Scores of entrance exams like GRe, TOEFL/IELTS, etc along with GPA in UG degree matters the  most. To know more about what all is required to pursue MS in US along with career opportunities, refer to this link- https://leverageedu.com/blog/ms-in-us/

Hello,
Most of the top ranking institutions do consider your school marks in terms of percentage. Also Gre, IELTS and other exams are just requirements ,your admission will be mostly determined by your composite score composed of 10th,12th , Graduation percentages, your extra curricular activities, work experience, projects, internships and your statement of purpose. The top Q ranking institutions just have varied level of allotment of weightage to each of the above mentioned categories.

Hello Ishan,

For getting admission in foreign universities such as Stanford or Harvard University, GRE and TOEFL scores are take into consideration. Also they require high CGPA in your graduation. If you are applying for MS in foreign universities your 112th marks don't matter and don't hamper your chances for admission in any way. These marks are taken into consideration only when you are applying for graduation programs in foreign universities.

All the best!

Hello there,

Master of Science (MS) is a very good course for students who wish to prepare for industry roles. In India various institutes provide MS course but doing MS from foreign is very beneficial.

Now doing MS from countries like USA needs some eligibility criteria. You have to fulfill that.

The basic requirements are:

  • 16 years of past education : 12th class OR 4 year B.Tech , 10th class OR 3 year diploma + 3 year degree etc.
  • Transcripts
  • Standard tests score (like GRE)
  • English Language Proficiency Score (like IELTS / TOEFL / PTE)

12th marks will not matter at all , you just need to fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria. This is basic .

Hope it helps.

Dear student

Your 12th marks don't matter for MS in USA. They only accept you based on your TOEFL/GRE/GMAT/ILETS score , personal interview and your statement of purpose. But an aggregate of 70 %  and above would be  better for your resume.

Hello aspirant,
Yes absolutely your 12 marks matters in the admission for UG in foreign countries .
Not only 12 grade also 9 to 11 grade will be  required  at the  some point .
So if you are trying to take admission in foreign country (abroad) then you have to keep your % high from the starting only . That means from 9 grade only .
Best of luck
Hope it's helpful ,thankyou.
