Surface propulsion, liquid propulsion, cryogenic propulsion, semicryogenic propulsion are some areas which find applications in chemical engineering.

Sufrace treatment of metals, nano materials, different chemical coatings are another areas where a chemical engineer can find applications.

Research on different types of battery's which can sustain space environment and provide highest enery density requires chemical engineering applications.

So there are many areas where a chemical engineer is needed in space research.

Hi there.

Yes chemil engineering has a scope in rocket science. Actually it have a lot of importance. But you need to excel in your stream to get there .

Also chemical engineering have a narrow but worth scope . So if you wish to pursue this stream than that is a good goal to get in .

So best of luck .

And i hope this was helpful.
