The ACT exam is a national college admissions examination used by all four-year US universities and more than 200 universities outside the US to evaluate applicants for undergraduate admissions. In the ACT test, students are assessed in the following academic areas.
English
Mathematics
Reading
Science
With writing, ACT (candidates opting for this will have to write the four subject area tests plus a 40-minute writing test).
The ACT test is administered as follows:
Code of Professional Responsibilities in Educational Measurement, National Council on Measurement in Education (1995).
Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing, American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, and National Council on Measurement in Education (1999).
Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education, Joint Committee on Testing Practices (2004).
The ACT 2022 test has no explicit qualifying requirements for potential candidates, since anybody over the age of 13 can take the test.
Instead, through ACT scores, a prospective applicant must fulfil the eligibility requirements of the specific institution or university to which he or she would apply. In addition, an applicant is allowed to take the ACT test up to 12 times.
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: Students from any nation are eligible to apply and take the ACT exam. However, they will be bound by the eligibility requirements of the institute to which they are applying.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for the ACT exam 2022. The ACT test is open to students over the age of thirteen. Students under the age of 13 will be required to get permission from the authorities.
