Does Anna University accept new marks?board marks ?in other state quota
Hello,
The selection of candidates is based on the marks obtained in Mathematics (50%), Physics and Chemistry (25% each) in the qualifying exam. The marks are normalized with respect to the highest mark obtained in that Board.
For e.g.
If the top mark secured by a student in ‘A’ board is 90 and the top mark in Tamil Nadu state board is 100, both the highest marks are equated to 100. Then, a student from ‘A’ board scoring 60 would have his/her mark normalized to 100 * (60/90) = 66.66%.
For the southern region (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Telangana), a total of 16 seats (12 – General and 4 – SC/ST) are reserved in the University Departments of Anna University. (CEG, MIT, ACT, SAP).
