there isno particular course available on research in computer science, but phd or research scholars may take any areas of computer science for thesis while pursuing course in the particular institute. computer science is a vast area of studies and it includes several research and development topics like machine learning, visual image-generation algorithms, geometric and physics-based modeling, computer animation, multi-modal interaction techniques (including haptics, audio, and project-based rendering), model and motion acquisition, large-scale data management, analysis, and visualization etc.
since you are interested in research and development you should go for integrated phd or phd course in computer science.
