Yes, B.Tech Students are eligible to apply for various police exams. Before applying to any exam you must check their eligibility criteria first. If they have mentioned any particular domain in graduation, then you'll not be eligible. But if the minimum qualification is mentioned as graduation, then you can apply for the post as B.Tech is a undergraduation degree and after completing B.Tech, you'll be called as a graduate. Apart from educational qualification, you have to be physically fit and well to be eligible for police exams. Also check the age limit before applying.

Hello balaji,

Hope you are doing well.

As per your question, yes btech students are eligible to apply groups or police jobs in India. As considering the higher groups and higher post of police you may need the certificate of graduation .

There are some jobs too in this category which you can fill while persuing btech. But for higher post you need to be graduated to be eligible for that. So either you are persuing or graduated you are eligible but depends on various post or groups eligibility. As far as I am concerned it's not too tough for an engineer of any branch to crack this kind of exam.

Hope this information helps you out. Thank you
