Dear,
No . Chemical engineering is not means of engineering of chemistry . Chemical engineering is the branch which deal with physical chemistry , and it's based on fundamental of thermodynamics, chemical reaction, process and it's complex calculation, fluid operation, mass transfer operation and many others. Essentially, chemical engineers design large-scale processes that convert chemicals , raw materials, living cells, microorganisms and energy into useful forms and products. Chemical engineering is application of chemistry at commercial level. So chemical engineers don't need to learn all the chemical reactions in depth.
Hope this helps!
