The demand for skilled civil engineers will never slow down worldwide as infrastructure projects, constructing the building, and much more structure will keep on increasing and will never be stagnant.

1. Most of the faculty staff is from reputed organizations with their highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also.

2. The capstone project is an integral part of B. Tech program in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills.

3. There is an internship program which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option.

4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can see actual construction work going on. Be prepare to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you.

It has a a future but not that excellent. Now a days most of the industry is based on Artificial Intelligence and robots and so manual workload has decreased drastically. Industry is mostly searching for Computer Science and Electrical engineers, that's the truth. And statistics displays that majority of Civil Engineers change their stream to Computer Science or Management after Graduation. Rest depends upon you, if you have deep interest in the stream and you believe you can grow in it, then you may opt for it.
