Does clearing out with CDS exam do we get a Permanent commission or Short Service Commission?

The Service Commision depends on which branch you choose in the Defense Services. While applying for CDS you are given choice of priority between, Indian Army, Indian Nay, Indian Air Force and Officers Training Academy (OTA). Depending on your choice, further after completing training you would be recruited. Where in:
- IMA, INA and AFA are Permanent Commission Authorities
- Officers Training Commission offers Short Service Commision to the qualifying candidates
