There is NO deduction of marks for cbse private candidates. Both private and regular students are treated equally by Delhi University, so please don't worry about this and prepare well for your boards and the upcoming entrance exams.
Delhi University is ranked among the best universities in country. It is known to invite a lot of applications every year. As per statistics shared, University of Delhi has received around 2,78,574 applications to fill a total of 56,000 seats for admissions 2018. Thus, it is a known fact that there is immense competition to secure admission in popular colleges/courses of Delhi University.
The most popular courses offered by DU are Bcom, BA (H) Eco, Bsc computer science, political science, etc. The criteria to secure a seat for the courses offered by du is to meet the minimum cutoff. For a few courses, admission is offered through entrance exam.
The candidates who will change their stream from commerce or science to pursue a humanities course or vice versa will have to face some deduction in their marks.
