I would like to share my opinion in this query. There are both advantages as well as disadvantages for having a EWS certificate. The biggest advantage is that you can get reservation for 10% seats under EWS quota for which your tution fee will be fully waived in the government institute. The disadvantage is that, since the seats are very less under EWS quota, the cut-offs are higher than UR quota.
