In Karnataka, the EWS quota applies only to central government jobs and educational institutions, as per the notification issued on May 14.
Aspirants seeking state government jobs and students applying for professional courses in Karnataka may miss out on the benefits of reservation for (EWS) as the government is yet to deliberate on the modalities of the new quota system.
