Does gap between 10th and 12th affects admissions to iit?

Hello Manish,
Actually the gap between 10th and 12th does not effect your admission in iit.If you repeat 11th twice,that doesn't matter but if you repeat 12th more than twice,then you may not get oppourtunity to get into iit.Since you can write jee mains thrice and jee advanced twice,they consider either 12th marks (ongoing) or which is already done(a year back).So your gap between 10th and 12th doesnt matter,but difference between 12th and jee matters.

Is dropping 11th a good option if you couldn't study due to poor health.
I had my 10th in 2017 and I failed in 12th...then I applied privately for 12 with 11th registration number but due to some issues it was not submitted on time. And 1 year got wasted..can I fill private form for 12th one more time on that 11th registration number.

I dont think that a gap between 10th and 12th matters for admission in IITs.And if you get into a good college , no one would ask you the reason for those extra years.
According to the rule, you can give JEE the same year you completed your 12th and a year after that.
