In last years bio tech firms are increased in large numbers due to which jobs in this field are growing . Due to the development of improved medicine and wellness therapies also the scope of genetic engineering is increasing. After doing genetic engineering one can go private as well as government firms. Now if we come to your second question , scope of genetic engineering is not much in chennai due to less number of firms , you can go for north indian for a better growth
