Does government job experience counts while placement in IIM?

Depends on Company to Company but i see no reason why it shouldn't be counted,if you are from a goverment organisation its obvious that you are familiar will the meritocratic structure ,and it may prove advantageous for your prospective employer,rest it also depends on how efficiently you put across your experience in the interview.
