The college offers its students a variety of scholarships and assistantships, which greatly aids them in obtaining valuable financial support to continue their education. IIT Guwahati scholarships are given to undergraduate and postgraduate students to recognise their academic achievements and to help deserving students grow and develop. IIT Guwahati scholarships can be awarded to students by both government and private-sector organisations, as long as they do not violate the college's rules and regulations. The Indian Women's Association Bonn (IWAB) Scholarship, Institute Merit-cum-Means (McM) Scholarships, Institute Merit Scholarship (IMS), and SC-ST Scholarships are among the scholarships available at IIT Guwahati.
