Does IISC Banglore offer UG engineering courses?

Hey,

IISC does not offer UG course in Engineering.It doesn't offer any B.Tech degree.However,it does offer M.Tech degree.

IISC is all about research related programmes.

Indian Institute of Science offers four year Bachelor of Science Programme in six major disciplines namely Biology,Chemistry,Earth and Environment Science,Materials,Mathematics and Physics.

The Bachelor of Science programme is divided into eight semesters.

However you will get to study engineering in first three semesters where you would be required to take one course each in Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics,Biology,Engineering and Humanities.

In the fourth to sixth semester you would need to choose a discipline of specialisation among Biology,Chemistry,Earth and  Environmental Science,Materials,Mathematics and Physics.In addition to these you would need to choose a Minor discipline and one Elective Course in Engineering along with one seminar course in Humanities.

See the IISC does not offer any undergraduate courses in engineering but it offers a M tech degree in which admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in GATE.



However  Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will offer the IISc BS 2019 admission to Bachelor of Science degree based on the merit of candidates in JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY. The admission of IISc BS 2019 will be offered to only the eligible candidates on the basis of counselling which is likely to start from the third week of June. The application form of IISc BS 2019 will be available from the first week of February which will be available till the last week of April, 2019.

Yes! Iisc offers ug courses.

At IISc there is a single course for undergraduates as of 2016:



The degree given is BS (BS = BSc)The course duration is of 4 years (extendable upto 6 years officially)We do not have ro choose our majors (specialisation) prior to admissionWe have to choose our majors after the third semester i.e in the begenning of the 4th semesterThe majors/minors to choose from are: physics, chemistry, biology, mathemarics, material science, environmental science.
