    Hey.

    The eligibility criteria for taking admission in IITs through JEE advanced is that it is mandatory for candidates to have taken 5 subjects in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam

    The 5 subjects for B.Tech/ B.E. are:

    1-Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), 5-Any other subject.

    The eligibility criteria does not specify English to be mandatory. You just have to take atleast one Language subject to be eligible. It is not compulsory to take English.

    In case any of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Language are not evaluated in the final year (e.g., in a 3-year diploma course), then the marks for the same subject from the previous year/s will be used for calculating percentage of aggregate marks.Does this points meant that if i do not have language in 12th then my language score will be taken from 11th results

    My board gives combine result of 11th and 12th so in my 12th mark sheet language will be there but it will represent 11th score
