Does it necessary to be a domicile of Maharashtra to get admission in government colleges through MHT CET 2019 ?
Admissions to colleges in Maharashtra have two types of candidature. Home university and Outside Home University students. To be considered in Home University, there are five types of candidatures.
Type-A:
1) Passed HSC or Passing Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Pharmacy from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State
2) Qualifying Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State
3) Either DOMICILE of Maharashtra and/or is BORN in Maharashtra
Type-BType-By
1) Your father or mother is a domicile of Maharashtra
2) They possess the domicile certificate
Type C:
1) If any of your parents is an employee of Govt of India and is posted in Maharashtra before the date of CAP round
Type D:
1) If your parents are an employee of Govt of Maharashtra (working)
Type E:
1) If you have qualified exam from disputed region near karnataka border and your mother tongue is Marathi.
So it is not necessary for you to be the domicile of Maharashtra to apply as a HU student. Butyou need to satisfy one of the above.
If you fall in either of the above candidature, you can apply as Home university student.
