IITs or Indian Institutes of Technology are considered as the top most Institute for Science and Technology. So doing M.Tech from IITs is a dream of many. But you must always check about few things before taking admission in any IIT like the placement status, Research areas, PhD Options if you want to go for higher studies.
Placements of top IITs such as IIT Bombay, Madras, Roorkee, Kharagpur, Kanpur are extremely good. These IITs are the oldest ones and the placements and academically good. However, there is not much exposure in the newly established IIT such as IIT Goa, Jammu, Bhilai etc and the placements are not up to the mark. However IIT is a brand name and it gives an extra advantage to you. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most demanded branches and there are vast opportunity in the field. So you can surely go for IITs for M.Tech.
