I just want to add some points to Sivani.
- If you want to do any masters in abroad like Germany, US, ETC.., you need go take this test.
- You can take ielts any time like there is no such criteria like after completing stone other course you need to take this test like that..
- Most universities will ask above 6.5 score in ielts.

There is actually no eligibility criteria for IELTS. The exam is used to check the English efficiency of applicants. It is used both for emigration as well education.
