Does jee mains percentile of session 2, 2022 is calculated by including total number of candidates appeared in session 1, 2022? or only total appeared candidates is considered of session 2 for percentile calculation, separately for each session?

Dear aspirant!
Hope you are doing well ! Same issue has faced by many students ,so i want to clear it . See, the percentile or rank will be decided among the total number of unique candidate . Unique candidate means all the candidates register for ist and 2nd attempt . Like 7 lakh gave ist attempt and now 6 lakh will give second so it doesn't means that there are 13 lakh candidates no number of unique candidate will be around 8 lakh because in second attempt ,some students have also given ist attempt so they are not considered as a unique candidate .
