Degree holders are eligible for admission to PhD if they have received a minimum of 55% or comparable grades in their studies [UGC Guidelines]. The completion of a Masters level course is the primary requirement for admission to PhD English programmes. It could be an M.A. in Arts or an M.Phil. in Science.
