Hello,

Placement majorly depends on your skills . If you do not have the proper skillset that the company is demanding then the college would not aid you in getting that job. But if you have ample skillset then you wouln't be dependent on the college for the placements. It's as simple as that.

Dear student,

Yes, college is also a factor that the placement gets affected. Some good and famous colleges get mlre companies visit rather than some infamous college which has a low name. And if there is a gold goverment college then the chances of getting a good and big companies visit is more frequently seen.

For eg - the good colleges like iits, nits, rvce or jadavpur university, get a lot more companies visit as compared to other low colleges.
But also note that you can always go for off campus placement if no good companies visit your college.

Now, the placement package depends on the talent and skill of student. More talent more package less or average talent implies less or average package.
