Presidency University Kolkata conducts an entrance test for admission to undergraduate Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Courses. The entrance test named PUBDET which will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board(WBJEE).

The medium of entrance test is English.

For Economics the candidates must have passed 12th from any recognised board from any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects with 70 per cent marks in English and 75 percent marks in Mathematics. The total number of seats is 70.
