SRM has its own entrance examination, SRMJEE, for admission. It is necessary to take this test in order to get admission in the B.Tech programmes. SRM does not consider JEE Mains marks.

Students have to register for the e-counselling using SRMJEEE application number and rank and participate in further admission process. The e-counselling is open for those candidates who missed the offline counselling. The offline counselling of SRMJEE 2019 was conducted on May 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 at the campus. Students were called for counselling on the basis of merit list. The result of SRMJEEE 2019 was announced on April 27. SRMJEE 2019 exam was held from April 15 to 25
