According to some reviews of the students of Central University of Punjab, there are no direct placements. Head of the Department can tell you about other reputed institutes to pursue higher studies, which will be helpful, but no company will offer placements after your Masters. You have to prepare for NET to pursue a PhD. After the Masters, you should work on your own. There is placement guidance cell which may guide you.

Placements: The university offers placements and career guidance to its students. The placement cell under academic affairs deals with campus placements and internships. About 50% of the students get placed, and 70% of the students get internships. Actually, current year batch was the first batch who enrolled in M.Tech. Placements are of very high quality and almost every student of this batch is placed in various Punjab and central government exams with handsome salary package. A good number of students got qualified for CSIR NET UGC NET and other competitive exams without further preparations. Students got admission to IIT and CSIR institutes. Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very attractive. All labs, classrooms, library are fully AC and having Wi-Fi facility. University is very spacious and full of greenery. Faculty: Teachers are very supportive, highly qualified and experienced. Teaching quality is also nice and they have taught via presentation mode. Other: Scholarship was given to every student, who qualified GATE or NET. Every year in feb, sports week is celebrated. Camus crowd is good. Fest is also there in every semester.
