does the eligibility in pcb drops from 50% to 40% in second round of up neet counselling?
As per the NEET Brochure 2021-22 as published by the UP Government in the website - https://upneet.gov.in/ there is nothing mentioned that states the eligibility for UP NEET Counselling in relation to aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology drops from 50% to 40%. Moreover, if a candidate (general/unreserved) had less than 50% aggregate in PCB, then he/she would not have been eligible to appear for NEET UG Examination. Thus the eligibility criteria for giving NEET UG Examination and also, thereafter for participating in UP NEET Counselling, with respect to Class 12 PCB aggregate marks is as follows -
- Unreserved Category Candidates - 50%
- OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
- PWD - 45%
Hence, for a General/Unreserved Candidate, the PCB aggregate should be 50% irrespective of what counselling it is.
