Till 2018 the JEE mains exam was taken by CBSE and every year the paper was of 360 marks.
And the question pattern was same till 2018, that is each question was of 4 marks and there were total 90 questions of total 360 marks.
Also the negative marks of 1 mark was also included. Till 2018 CBSE set very accurate JEE mains question paper and there was only one all India topper in jee mains.
Now in 2019, NTA takes over the CBSE and then, the percentile system came, but the question pattern still remained same that is + 4 for right answer and -1 for wrong answer and the paper was of total 360 marks but from 2019 multiple all india toppers started to come.
In 2020 year, we see that there has been a change in question pattern as there are only 75 questions and total of three hundred marks including 15 questions of numerical answer type questions and 60 questions were single Choice correct.
So, in 2020 we see a change in pattern and no one expected this. But in 2021, we can expect that there will be 75 questions of 300 marks and it will include numerical type and single Choice correct answer type questions. The question difficulty level will remain same like 2020.
So there was no change in question pattern till 2019, but this year the question pattern was changed and we expect that this pattern will be continued in 2021 also.
