Hello,
The syllabus of UPSC exam is quite extensive and elaborative, moreover it involves three stages - first is prelims which is MCQs based, and second is Mains which is subjective paper followed by interview, the exam pattern of TISSNET and TISSMAT is different that of UPSC which involves various subjects such as history, economics, polity, geography etc, on the other hand TISSNET and TISSMAT mainly possess MCQs pattern, and TISSMAT is specifically for the admission of MA in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations/MA in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership, if we have a look the subjects involved then TISSNET has General Awareness, English, Maths and Reasoning on the other hand TISSMAT has Comprehension, Management Data Interpretation, Business Awareness and Descriptive Test, the prelims part of UPSC may help you to certain extent for TISSNET though still the syllabus of UPSC is quite extensive as I already mentioned you, in case of TISSMAT the demands are quite different as it required you to be well informed about business knowledge, management data interpretation, and the descriptive test that comes along.
