I will state my opinion for you. According to me, people sitting in front of a computer don't have any idea at all as to how to guide the traveler as per their requirements. As travel and tourism is such a field which needs many practical skills, so distance learning is what I would not suggest you.
Rather you can go for a regular college for these courses to make a foundation of your career in travel and tourism:-

In India, the travel industry hopes to build 46 million job opportunities by 2025 thus there will be more requirement for travel and tourism professionals. So, I would say your choice is definitely good.
