Hello,
For MBA programs, UGC recognition is important, but AICTE approval is optional. On the other hand, for PGDM courses, AICTE approval is mandatory, and UGC approval is not required since PGDM is conferred by institutes and not universities. PGDM courses are generally not considered equivalent to an MBA degree, unless the awarding institution is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
Hope this helps,
Thank you
Hello Aspirant,
University Grant Commission is known as UGC, and All India Council for Technical Education is known as AICTE. Both are government agencies; AICTE oversees technical education standards, while UGC verifies that universities are adhering to the rules. Then, you should choose UGC if you wish to pursue an PGDM.
An MBA from any Indian university is comparable to a PGDM diploma. Exams are given by universities that are connected. The AICTE has granted permission to PGDM institutions to administer the exams. comprehensive entrance exams at the state level.
