Picric acid is an organic compound and its formula is (NO2)3C6H2OH. IUPAC name is 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP). This picric acid is widely used in medicines. To a benzene ring place OH on the to most position, OH and NO2 at para positions. Add NO2 at 2nd and 6th positions which is place NO2 in ortho positions (both the sides) with OH.

Picric acid is an organic compound with the formula (O2N)3C6H2OH. Its IUPAC name is 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP). You now phenol structure have OH attached to benzene ring on 1st position. You have to attach NO2 on 2,4,6 position on that phenol structure.
