DTU cutt off 2019 plss tell me????

DTU (Formerly DCE),one of the premier engineering
institutions of the country takes in students for the
regular 4 year B-Tech programme through the Joint
Admission Counselling (JAC) along with 3 other
institutes of Govt of NCT of Delhi. The counselling is
purely based onyour JEE Mains All India Rank,very
much like the JOSAA counselling. Before thisyear there
used to be 6 normal rounds ofcounselling and one spot
round of counselling but this year they also introduced
an additional Special Round of counselling , which was
held much later to fill any vacancies after Spot Round

Now after the end of normal rounds,there is a
systematic internal upgradation based on vacancies
and priorities filled by the candidates. For Example,
you had a rank of37k and you got ENE in last round
and you pay thefees and take admission. Now,before
spot round there will be internal upgradation and
there is a pretty high chance that you may end up with
PCT or PIE.(Providedyou had filled a preference order
of PIE/PCT ENE)

Note- All the cutoffs of 2018-19 after spot round
given here are only an approximation,they aren't
official figures but yeah, they are quite close to the
real estimate.(they can be a bit on the higher side as
even I have trusted what some people have told me ,and
obviously people lie)
It can be clearly seen that DTU saw a huge drop in cut
offs this year (very similar to 2013),mainly through
internal upgradation due to some or the other
reasons(Ihave written a different answer on the
reasons). All those who accepted the seat they got in
counselling,eventually ended up with a more preferred
branch later on!
Now if you are aiming for DTU,then let me give you
my estimate of what could be predicted cut offs for
next year
The estimate is made on several assumptions -
1.Seats dont incrOpen in app Delhi and

ther good colleges
NIT Delhi(These arethe other good colleges

in Delhi which take in through JEE M and

hence a seat change in them may somehow

effect cut offs of DTU too)

2. There is a speculation going on that Home

State quota may be reduced in DTU, in the

coming years ,I am assuming it remains

same for the next year too.(Note - It is only a

mere speculation and nothing is official

yet)

3. If the above 2 points turn out to be true then

the cut offs of DTU are definitely going to see

a big rise next year because many people are

going to apply next year ,after seeing the

huge drop which occurred this year. Also,

now many of you know that DTU is offering

you multiple rounds of internal upgradations

,even after the normal rounds of counselling

Conclusion - To get a decent/core branch in DTU

,Delhiites should aim for an under 30k rank and

outside Delhi students should aim for under 15k

rank as per my estimate.
