Hey aspirant,
I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.
But yes, i can compare both of these colleges for you -
DTU formerly known as delhi technical university and is ranked 34th in NIRF ranking. It is known amongst all the students and it's a great opportunity for a student to get a seat in this college. This college has highly equipped labs and the faculties are highly skillful. Also, the campus of this college is beautiful and amazingly infrastructured.the campus size is somewhere around 160 acres. Now, when we talk about the placement statistics of this college then the highest package offered till date is around 1.02crores and the average ranges around 11.7lpa.Every year approx more than 350+ mncs come to this college.
Whereas, IIITD is ranked 56th in NIRF ranking and known amomgst the crowd. But when we compare this college to DTU in terms of placement statistics then it has even more good placement statistics i.e, the highest package offered by this college is 1.5cr(international company) and 43lpa(domestic) whereas the average ranges around 14-16lpa.
Comparatively both the colleges are good, the choice is totally upon you and based on your priorities.
Hope it helps.

Hi there!
Reasons to join DTU/NSIT instead of IIIT-D:
Established Brand name.
Much of the CREAMY LAYER comes here.
You may not be totally comfortable being a computer programmer, and may wish to look for Non-tech/extra curricular activities.
You get ample free time apart from college to pursue WHICHEVER activity you want, be it MUN, DEBATING, DANCE, MUSIC, PROGRAMMING, SPORTS, READING, preparation for HIGHER STUDIES/MBA/IAS etc.
Few profs are highly into their respective fields and most profs give marks. Chilled out most of the times. Always ready to help.
The Cultural Fests are really once in a LIFETIME sort of events with amazing performances from other college students as well as Celebrities.
PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!! PLACEMENTS!!!
Reasons to join IIIT-D instead of DTU/NSIT:
High Internet (wifi/LAN) speed. DTU has wifi but slower speed, while NSIT only has wifi in and around a few labs.
Most profs are HIGHLY QUALIFIED in their fields and will help you relatively much more.
Fully A/C campus.
It’s raising the level every year and catching up fast with DTU/NSIT/new IITs’ standards in terms of placements. Students cross over often for internships/projects.
Really good place if you are slightly geekish and REALLY INTO CODING and TECH-RELATED STUFF.
Better place to go to if you wish to pursue Research Abroad in computers as much of the faculty are PHD’s and researchers from really good foreign universities.
Second best institute (after IIT-D) to pursue good quality Computer Science education in Delhi.
Even I was faced with this choice a year before. I’m pursuing IT at NSIT.
I don’t know how far or near is your home to any of these colleges and thus I didn’t comment on it. However most students including Delhiites get hostel room easily at NSIT.
Rest I leave to you.
