Only good colleges like the IITs, the NITs, the IIITs, DTU, etc. can guarantee you a placement in a company, and that too, only if you are prepared we'll for that job. After all, they do not expect you to know nothing but still take the job.
Please note that while sitting for an interview, you will be quizzed in aptitude, logic and technical questions related to the corresponding work profile. Your chances of landing a job doesn't depend even one bit on your school marks.
Your CGPA in college however matters a lot. Hope this helps you and all the best!
