Easy way to get government job of engineering?
Good afternoon Amit!!
There are many ways you can get a government job of engineering but am afraid none of them would be easy because of the demographic divindend of India.
The top most government job based on engineering core would be through UPSC IES- Indian Engineering Services. It is a class-1 officer post. The IES job role can be broadly classified as managing PSUs such as Indian Railways, Telecom, Power sector to working for Central Water engineering, Central Engineering Service, Defence Service of Engineers, etc.Candidates need to appear for exam called ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION.(prelims-mains-interview,of which prelims would be of objective type, mains would be of coventional format).UPSC conducts this exam every year.
Second way would be through GATE-various PSUS take gate scorecard and invite applications from the students who are qualified in gate exam which is conducted every year. You can refer the following link for the mutliple opportunities related to gate exam-

Third way is to apply for state government exams which specifically are for engineering graduates. Each state PCS board conducts exams according to their vacancies.
Other way would be to join any of the IOCL,HPCL,ONGC,MTNL,BSNL as trainees or apprentices. Also these PSU's conduct exams for various posts.
Moerover INDIA's top government institutions like IIT,NIT AND CENTRAL Universities relrease vacanies for assitant lecturer posts. You can apply for them also checking the relevant stream of your engineering.
Finally,INDIAN ARMY,INDIAN NAVY,INDIAN AIRFORCE-SSB TECH- via this you can apply for OFFICER LEVEL ENTRY INTO ARMED FORCES ,attend the 5-day SSB INTERVIEW and perform well and get selected into army.
The easiset way to get government job is to and consistent and be through with the core engineering subjects of your stream and be ready for the upcoming exams.
thank you.

Amit,
There's no such easy way to get government engineering job.
To get engineering govt job you need to do your BTECH in particular branch then you need to qualify GATE with good score in order to job in any of the PSUs (BHEL, GAIL etc) .
After qualifying GATE you need to give interview which has some additional marks.
Then your marks of GATE and Your interview marks are added in some ratio and final marks are declared. Every company has it's own cut off and they give jobs on based on this score.
