Hi

You can apply for lateral entry admission in B.Tech courses of your choice. However, your admission will depend upon the number of vacancies and your marks in diploma as well as the marks in qualifying entrance exam. Coming to your branch, Electronics and Communication Engineering has a vast scope in future. Choose your Institute or University wisely as this will have an impact on your placements because what matters is how best you can make use of the resources provided to you.
You can even complete other short term courses for Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.  Few of them are:
Embedded Systems, VLSI, Circuit Designing and many more.
