It depends upon you  whether you prefer placements ,good package only or you prefer your interest over the latest trends

As far as bright future and high packages are concerned no doubt CSE and IT are at top no other branch is not even in competition , though ECE is a good branch and have placements but not up to these two branches

There are two things ,if you are a kind of oert having computer background like you had any computer subject in your 12th class and you like to do things related to software , programming, coding then you must go with Cse because after your btech you will get a decent job in anyone of the tip MNCs and at a decent package , companies like TCS,Google , Infosys,IBM, Accenture etc are top recruiters of CS and iT students

But if you like ECE branch but due to latest trends you want to go with CSE then it's not good ,you must prefer your interest and make your career in ECE there are also very high chances of placements of you are good at yourself, ECE is behind IT and CS Because the companies who recruit ECE students are less than those of CS and IT

To be precise ,if you want a good package and a good job (over your interest ECE) than you can go with CS if your interest is in ECE otherwise go with ECE

But if your interest is in CS and want a decent career ahead then there is nothing to think about go with it

If you don't have any particular interest, then Computer Science Engineering is the better Choice. Almost every ECE student go for IT job after the completion of course. So it is better to choose CSE and excel in coding.  If you can do Coding well then you may even get a chance to get 16 lakh package and more. Many IT Companies are ready to hire the candidates who excel in coding.
