Since both the displayed colleges hold a good position across the country. If you compare among both of these in EEE DEPARTMENT wise then i think BIT Mesra holds a good position in all aspects point of view including placement  / campus life etc. BIT holds a good placement records with an average package of 4.5 to 5.5 lakh per annum in EEE stream  eventhough the campus life at BIT Mesra is also awesome which doesn't makes you fee bored. So i think you should go with the BIT Mesra rather than just the NIT tag.
